Hello, I'm Madalena, a photographer and
visual storyteller.

A hundred days of motherhood started as a conversation between Anna von Stackelberg and myself: Two photographers dealing with the challenge of raising children in London whilst craving to pursue a creative career.

We started taking pictures with our iPhone everyday and chose the best one per week to present and discuss with one another. In a year we’d have 100 shots.

But there were weeks when two or three shots were great and weeks when nothing worked. It was always simple to photograph cute children but what about the subject of frustration? The intial reason we started this?

I decided to add the level of despair I feel through audio pieces. I have since recorded my family (and especially myself) crying, shouting, screaming.

The project will soon be accessible online.

Here is a sneak peak.
